Ken Hor
Ken Hor is a self-made cinematographer from Penang, Malaysia — born and bred on the island.
His career took a drastic turn in 2017, when he decided to leave behind his life as a corporate man to become a self-reliant videographer. He went on to become a core and founding member of the media and production house CASE EAST. Since then, his passion and career have revolved around moving visuals, sound, and the practical craft behind them. His camera is his excuse to listen to what people have to say.
He has filmed a diverse range of projects, including scripted commercials, music videos, live performances, and documentary series for CASE EAST.

Youyou Zhang
Youyou Zhang is a Creative Director and Filmmaker exploring the intersection of culture, emotion, and visual language — born in Chengdu, China, and now based in Penang, Malaysia.
With a background in Advertising and Design from the University of Leeds, and experience as an entrepreneur in China’s food supply chain industry, she brings a unique blend of strategy and sensitivity to her storytelling.
Joining CASE EAST in 2022, she helped steer the studio into the commercial realm. Since then, they have worked with well-known and lesser-known names alike from NGOs and global pharmaceutical companies to local brands, creating visually compelling work that connects meaning and purpose with their clients’ goals.
She is drawn to stories that merge visuals, sound, and context, valuing human connection, food, life, the universe, and everything in between.
